The LG G5 features the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 820, supported by 4 GB of RAM. This SoC is different in many ways compared to the team that the Exynos Samsung Galaxy S7. Nevertheless, we can find some similarities as the support of the RAM at 1800 MHz LPDDR4 and engraving in 14 nm (14LPP) from Samsung.
The amount of work, reflection, effort and LG’s commitment to the creation of the G5 is amazing. We can not complain, LG innovated. However, at present, the potential of modular smartphone is far from desirable. The promise of a modular “plug and play” is not required, and commercialized modules are two in number.
