Buckwild Star Shain Gandee Was Found Dead, TMZ Reports. The 21-year-old Shain Gandee The “Buckwild” Star has died. It was reported that Gandee’s body was found in his Ford Bronco in Sissonville, West Virginia on the side of a dirt road. OMG! Yahoo! has provided some new details that have emerged in the case.
The “Buckwild” star dies just hours after tweeting “Happy Easter” to his fans on Twitter (the tweet has since been deleted). He reportedly went to a bar with his uncle late Sunday night and that’s the last that friends and family heard of him. Still, how the three people died is unknown. It does not appear as though they were in an accident, so drunk driving might be ruled out.
Police are still investigating the case, trying to piece together the night to figure out exactly what might have happened to Shain, David, and the third person in the Bronco.
The Kanawha County Sheriff’s Department reported the MTV reality star as missing. However, authorities later confirmed that the 21-year-old was found dead in a truck in Sissonville, W. Va., along with two other bodies, the Charleston Gazette reports.
According to Commissioner Kent Carper, the body of Gandee’s 48-year-old uncle, David Gandee, was also recovered, local CBS affiliate WOWK-TV reports. The identity of the third body has not been released.
Shain was last heard from around 3 AM on Sunday morning, when he and his uncle David told people they planned to go 4-wheeling.
TV has released the following statement:
“We are shocked and saddened by the terrible news about Shain Gandee, and those involved in this tragic incident. We are waiting for more information but at this time, our main concern is for the Gandee family and their friends. Our thoughts and prayers are with them. Shain had a magnetic personality, with a passion for life that touched everyone he met and we will miss him dearly.”
