Google Launches Search App for Windows 8: Google has launched its Search Engine Application specially designed for Windows 8, the new operating system from Microsoft. The main feature of the browser interface is the ability to more quickly access the list of Google products and applications, to the history and voice search.
The final version of Windows 8 will arrive on October 26, while the family of ‘tablets’ Surface. Google is ahead of the official launch and submitted the search application adapted to the main screen of Windows 8. The voice search, which can be accessed directly by ‘clicking’ on the microphone icon located under the main search box, lets ask Google orally to get an immediate response.
In addition, the web browser displays the images included in the results as a ‘slide’ located at the top of the page. Access the Google search engine from the Search Charm of Windows 8 is now easier thanks to this new application. Among its major developments, there is the possibility to access the history for sites visited on a recent direct from the clock icon located on the home page of the application, together with the application icon and voice search.
As is the case with the browser version of Google Desktop in other operating systems, this application for Windows 8 also offers a preview of the results without having to visit each page. The application also has enabled Google Instant Search, which provides real-time results while the user types the words, without having to press the Enter button.
