300: The Rise of An Empire: With the bloodied corpse of Leonidas and his wife’s voice calling for revenge. And so begins the first trailer of 300: Dawn of an Empire (300: Rise of an Empire) the sequel to the epic and successful 300 of Zack Snyder.

300A triumphant Xerxes, played by Rodrigo Santoro again, brandishes a golden ax on the stack of dead bodies of the brave 300 Spartans who lost their lives in the pass of Thermopylae.

Meanwhile, the wife of the fallen king, which give life back to Lena Headey, the Queen also, but much more cunning, Cersei Lannister of Game of Thrones-harangue to the Greeks to prepare to face the hosts of Xerxes and avenge their fallen.

Another of the stars of this first preview is Artemis, the fearsome commander of the fleet of Xerxes to Eva Green who plays it, so we can see a fleeting image, you more than words with the protagonist of this sequel.

He is Sullivan Stapleton, as we have seen in movies like elite Brigade or Animal Kingdom, who takes over from Gerard Butler and embodies the Greek general Themistocles.

A first trailer which, seasoned with the epic background music Junkie XL, confirms that this sequel will faithfully follow the aesthetics of the film he directed Zack Snyder, the director of Man of Steel is now limited to production work.

His place at the head of the tape is held by Noam Murro (Smart people) who already announced that visual aesthetics and epic tone 300: The Rise of an empire would be similar to its predecessor, albeit with some notable differences.

And while the original film focused exclusively on the heroic deed of the Spartans in the pass of Thermopylae, the new film “happens at the same time in many different places.” In fact, as we see in the trailer, much of the action of the film takes place at sea, with breathtaking battles.

The film’s predecessor, “300,” grossed more than $450 million at the box office worldwide, with U.S. filmgoers shelling out just over $210 million during its 18 weeks on the big screen, while international audiences spent $245 million to see the film. In its opening weekend alone, the movie took in $70 million, according to boxofficemojo.com.

“300: Rise Of an Empire” has a scheduled release date of March 7, 2014.
