But four months later, Keith shocked friends, family and fans by checking into the Betty Ford Clinic in California for 90 days in rehab for alcohol abuse.
“Nicole listened to his heart and what he felt was the right thing to do.
“To see that kind of love in action is very moving and deeply inspiring, and makes me want to be a better man.” The couple now lives in Nashville, Tennessee, with his daughters Sunday Rose, four, and faith, two, which was carried by a surrogate mother.
Keith, wearing a black leather jacket and jeans when we are in a Hollywood office, seems shy at first, but opens when talking about his family first. He says: “I was almost 40 years and was not sure if I was able to be a dad.
“I thought maybe it was not my calling in life and I was fine with that because I had met the love of my life and children or not, everything was fine.
“All are with his family and I used terrible Sunday. But when I met Nic, became my favorite day of the week because they always had together. “Nic had the same feeling so we said if we had a child to call her Sunday.”
The couple made several attempts to have another child but could not conceive. Keith says: “Nic could not get pregnant. Finally, someone suggested subrogation and entered into this process and found a beautiful woman to help us.”
Keith and Nicole are clearly dedicated to parents, but he says: “Who knows if we are brilliant parents?’s Too early to say. “The jury is out, but we are very attentive parents and I’m sure you do a lot of bad things, but we’ll know in due time.
