Google Play Store 4.4 Version Drop-Down Navigation: The Google Play Store 4.4 has leaked a new version and has been published in images via Android Police. This would be version 4.4 of Google Play and has a similar design to other Google applications.

The design of this latest version 4.4 of Play Store is similar to other Google applications, it has a drop-down navigation menu.

The major change, is the move to the “hamburger“-style slide-out navigation.

The slide-out navigation has the following tabs:

  • Store home
  • My apps, My movies & TV, etc., depending on the section you’re currently in
  • Shop – this one doesn’t appear at all times
  • My wishlist
  • Redeem

The menu, shown in the 4th screenshot, is now down to just Settings and Help – exactly how it should be.

Google’s new store is being tested in the next update of Android, KitKat 4.4, but will be available in the previous version of Android before it comes to light KitKat 4.4.

While the current version of Google Play 4.3.11 Store the menu is crammed into a single screen, the new version 4.4 has a dropdown with different tabs, each aimed at a different theme.

This is still in testing and Google will have to put the finishing touches before bringing it to light.
