Tablets Generate More Web Traffic Than Smartphones in 2013: The ‘tablets’ gain ground to smartphones from early 2013, at least in terms of web traffic is concerned. According to a study by the company’s Abode Systems ‘tablets’ generate more web traffic than smartphones in early 2013, as consumers are browsing nearly as attractive as these devices in computers.

The results indicate that the ‘tablets’ have become a very different channel to smartphones. While applications have proved a very valuable and important component in the mobile strategy, companies should invest in optimizing web pages for ‘tablets’, the study because the percentage of visits to web pages from’ tablets ‘grew about 10 times faster than the percentage in smartphones in the first two years after its launch and grew over 300 percent last year.

In addition, the study says that traffic in ‘tablets’ exceed the traffic smartphones in early 2013 and reach 10 percent of all Web traffic in 2014.

For this study analyzed 23,000 million visits to the websites of 325 companies in North America, Western Europe (Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom) and Asia (China, India, South Korea, New Zealand, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand).
