Joanne Peh And Constance Song show off At Star Awards 2012: Joanne Peh goes up to collect her Best Actress Award and Constance Song shows off the back of her gown to catcalls. Actress of the moment Joanne Peh once again stole the limelight at the Star Awards 2012 on Sunday, both with her sartorial choices and her surprise Best Actress win.
Her first outfit, a royal purple Bottega Veneta gown had a neckline that plunged to her waist and a dramatic long train. Only a sheer black lining preserved her modesty from the front.
To Peh’s credit, she carried off the daring dress with confidence, cheekily swishing her long train as she walked down the red carpet to cat calls and wolf whistles from fans and members of the public.
Speaking to red carpet hosts Dasmond Koh and Dennis Chew, Peh said her main concern on the way to the event at Marina Bay Sands was not stepping on her gown.
“I was just worried about stepping on the gown… we (with fellow actress Rui En) were thinking, our dresses are so long, how are we going to walk in properly… but I think we did it quite well,” said Peh in Mandarin.
She later changed into a slightly more conservative shimmering silver gown which was held up by three black straps but still exposed much of her back and side., Constance Song dare to bare at Star Awards 2012.
Song’s dress appeared to be held up by mere strings in a gravity-defying miracle but up close, it was revealed that there was a clear mesh holding her dress together all the way to her navel.
Song told The New Paper that she was not too concerned about a wardrobe malfunction.
“I wasn’t worried that I would reveal too much because when I move, the dress doesn’t move at all.” said Song, whose gown was by designer Jeanette Ivarson’s Jiki label.
She even did a quick spin after host Dasmond Koh told her to show her dress off. via Yahoo
